Chuck Hallberg

Hello, I'm Chuck Hallberg, a part-time maker from Houston, Texas. I started making knives in 1991 after seeing a friend's custom camp knife and have been hooked ever since. I like to work with ats-34, 154-cm and d-2; I have all my blades professionally heat treated and cryogenically treated to -300 degrees Fahrenheit. I make and hand sew all sheaths for each knife. I enjoy making knives, as I don't think I've ever done anything as fulfilling as making a knife, something I made, and seeing it being used as a tool or given as a gift, something to possibly be passed from father to son. I don't think I've ever seen any one craft touch on so many skills.
