Mark Banfield

I started making knives 8 years ago by stock removal. 3 years ago I joined the A.B.S and have been forging nearly all of my blades since then.I prefer to make one-of-a-kind knives.I use all natural handle materials. Most of my blades are double quenched and triple tempered with a soft back draw. All blades are hand sanded.I only use carbon steels and plan to soon start making damascus. All knives guaranteed against defects in workmanship and materials. No guarantee against abuse.I only make fixed blade knives. Most work is done by hand tools such as files sandpaper, etc.I do have some powertools but use them for only a small percentage of the work. Custom orders welcome.
